In a joint operation in the Keranitek slum of Tongi, authorities seized a significant quantity of drugs, recovered 2.2 million Taka in cash, and arrested 40 individuals involved in drug trafficking.
The raid began at 3:30 AM on Sunday, during which joint forces recovered a substantial amount of drugs, including cannabis, phensedyl, and yaba, as well as local weapons and cash totaling 2,281,300 Taka from multiple residences in the slum.
The army reported that the operation was conducted based on confidential information.
In addition to the army, the operation involved coordination among RAB, BGB, and police, with approximately 550 law enforcement personnel participating.
Legal proceedings are underway against the arrested individuals.
