Police detained 35 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Friday (December 2).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Thursday to Friday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 620 pieces of yaba, 21 grams of heroin, 10 bottles of phensidyle, 27 litres of hydrochloric acid and 10.5 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.
Twenty-six cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
