A Dhaka court on Wednesday sent Amatullah Bushra to prison after the expiry of her five-day remand in a case over the murder of BUET student Fardin Noor Parash, reports UNB.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ataullah passed the order after turning down her bail petition.
On November 10, Bushra was placed on a five-day remand after being arrested from her Banasree home in the capital.
Fardin’s father Kazi Nuruddin Rana filed a case against Bushra and several unidentified people in connection with his son’s killing with Rampura Police Station on the same day and the case was later transferred to DB police.
On November 7, police recovered Fardin’s body from the Shitalakhkhya River, behind a cotton mill at Siddhirganj, three days after he went missing.
He was a 3rd-year student in BUET’s Civil Engineering Department and a resident of the Qutubpur area in Narayanganj's Fatullah.
