The eagerly awaited movie Daagi is set to hit theaters this Eid-ul-Fitr. Directed by Shihab Shaheen, the film features a romantic duet sung by Tahsan Khan and Masha Islam. The song, which remains untitled for now, has been penned by Saadat Hossain, with music composed and directed by Sajid Sarkar, who also handled the background score for the film.
Masha Islam shared her excitement about the song, revealing that she was brought in suddenly to lend her voice for the track. "Tahsan Bhaiya joined me for a double voice, and the song turned out to be romantic and beautiful. I particularly love the melody. I feel the combination of his and my voices makes it even more special," she said.
Sajid Sarkar, the music director, praised the collaboration, calling it a beautiful duet. "I’ve only worked on one song for the movie, and it’s Tahsan and Masha’s duet. It sounds amazing. I also did the background score for the film," he mentioned.
Masha, known for her role in the hit song Teka Pakhi, had previously collaborated with Tahsan on the web film Mayashalik, where they sang Bola Hai Naa. The Daagi soundtrack also features singer Zefar Rahman, known for Jhumka, who contributed another song to the film.
Starring Afran Nisho in his return to the big screen after two years, Daagi blends action, drama, and romance. The film also stars Tama Mirza, Sunerah Binte Kamal, Manoj Pramanik, Rashed Mamun Apu, Shahiduzzaman Salim, and others.
