Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh celebrated their first Diwali as new parents by surprising fans with a special announcement.
Amid the festive lights and joy, the couple revealed the name of their child: 'Dua,' which means 'prayer,' symbolizing their hopes and blessings for her future, and reflecting their belief that she is the answer to their heartfelt prayers.
The couple shared the news through an Instagram post featuring a charming photo of their baby's tiny feet in traditional attire. They chose not to show their child's face, reports The Daily Star.
The caption of the post read, "Dua Padukone Singh. 'Dua': meaning a prayer.Because she is the answer to our prayers. Our hearts are filled with love and gratitude. Deepika & Ranveer."
The couple welcomed their daughter on September 8, and since then, Deepika has maintained a low profile, making only one public appearance at The Live Love Laugh Foundation event.
This Diwali 2024 is particularly meaningful for the pair as they celebrate their first festival with their daughter.
Additionally, they star in Rohit Shetty's ensemble film "Singham Again", which premiered in theatres on November 1, with both portraying police officers in the movie.
