Dhaka Metropolitan North BNP convener and State Minister for Youth and Sports Aminul Haque said that we have a moral responsibility towards the families of those who sacrificed their lives in the movement for establishing people's voting rights or were subjected to disappearances and torture.
He said this at a program to distribute cash assistance and Eid gifts to the families of those who were killed, murdered and martyred in the movement at his political office in the Eastern Housing area of Mirpur in the capital on Tuesday morning.
Aminul Haque personally spoke to the relatives of the leaders and activists who were killed, murdered and martyred at the program. He listened carefully to their current situation, family crises and various problems.
At the time, the State Minister for Sports said that the families of leaders and activists who sacrificed their lives in the movement and struggle are never alone; BNP will always be by their side.
He also said, “We have a moral responsibility towards the families of those who sacrificed their lives in the movement for democracy and people's voting rights or were subjected to disappearances and torture. This small initiative of ours is out of that sense of human responsibility that the joy of Eid shouldreaches their homes as well.”
