Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu on Sunday urged field-level land officials to work with sincerity and efficiency to meet public expectations.
He made the call while speaking at the inaugural session of the Higher Land Management Course at the Land Administration Training Centre in the capital.
The minister said people approach land offices with various problems, and officials must respond promptly with legal solutions. He stressed that field-level officials need a strong understanding of land-related laws and regulations, adding that there is no alternative to proper training.
Addressing the trainees, Minu emphasized the importance of implementing government directives to move the country forward. He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring transparent and efficient land services for citizens.
He also warned officials against misconduct, saying any wrongdoing that tarnishes the image of field-level administration ultimately reflects on the government.
Land Reforms Board Chairman AJM Salahuddin Nagari, Additional Secretary Abdur Rouf, and Land Administration Training Centre Director Mohammad Abul Khayer also spoke at the event, which was chaired by Additional Secretary Nasrin Jahan.
