The Central Intelligence Cell (CIC) of the NBR launched an operation at Savanna Eco Resort and Natural Park, owned by former IGP Benazir Ahmed.
A 15-member team entered the park at 11:50 am today (Tuesday), inspecting various facilities within the park. They later examined the computers and files in several office rooms.
The team is reportedly investigating potential tax evasion at the park.
However, details of other aspects of the investigation have not been disclosed to the media. The team has assured that they will brief the media once the investigation is over.
During his tenure as IGP and DG of RAB, Benazir Ahmed established Savanna Eco Resort and Natural Park in Bairagitol, Gopalganj Sadar Upazila.
Last year, allegations emerged that the park was built on land owned by the Hindu community.
In June, following a court order, the local administration seized the park, and receivers were appointed to oversee its management.
