BNP has confirmed its participation in the all-party meeting called by Interim Government Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus to discuss the July Proclamation.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan said the party's Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed would represent BNP in the talks.
Earlier, on Tuesday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir asked for additional time to provide input on the July Proclamation. In a press conference, he said, "the matter is too sensitive and important to be addressed on a short notice."
It is worth noting that Chief Adviser Prof Muhammad Yunus will hold an all-party meeting with political parties and other stakeholders to finalize the July Proclamation. The meeting will begin at 4 pm today (January 16) at the Chief Adviser's official residence, Jamuna, and will continue until 7 pm.
