Earlier, the students started their march towards the secretariat from JnU at 4 pm.
They reached in front of the secretariat around 4:45 pm. Then, the sick students on hunger strike participated in the march by pushing rickshaws with saline stands. More than five hundred students of the university participated along with the students on hunger strike.
AKM Rakib said at the press conference that a meeting will be held with the ministry next Wednesday. I have received a written commitment to the effect that an agreement will be signed to hand over the work of the second campus to the army in the meeting.
“Promise has been given regarding construction of temporary steel-based buildings at Bani Bhaban and Habibur Rahman Hall. It was also promised to review and discuss the issue of providing allowance to 70 percent students and take a decision. As a result, we are withdrawing our hunger strike,” he added.
