Jamaat-e-Islami Nayeb-e-Ameer and former MP Dr. Syed Abdullah Md. Taher said we’ve no such distance or difference of opinion with BNP.
“Some are talking on the sidelines on small issues. BNP's Nazrul Islam Khan and Jamaat's Secretary General have clearly said that there is no conflict between BNP and Jamaat. We are working together for the country, for politics, for the future of Bangladesh,” he said.
Brazilian Ambassador to Bangladesh Paulo Fernando Dias Feres paid a courtesy call on the party's Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman at the central office of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami in the capital's Maghbazar at 10:30 am on Monday. The Jamaat's Nayeb-e-Ameer made these remarks at a press conference organized after the meeting.
The Nayeb-e-Ameer said, “The Ameer's courtesy call on the Brazilian Ambassador was held in the presence of Jamaat leaders. The long discussion was very significant and cordial. There were discussions on how to further improve Brazil-Bangladesh relations in the future."
