Claiming that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman didn’t give the direction of the Liberation War, Nagorik Oikya President Mahmudur Rahman Manna said the speech of March 7 was not the proclamation of the country’s independence.
He came up with the observation while speaking at a discussion and documentary exhibition marking the 84th birth anniversary of the late Serajul Alam Khan, an organizer of the Liberation War, held in the capital’s Baridhara on Monday afternoon.
Manna said big political parties have shown their characters in the five months of the mass uprising. There is no scope to hold the election without reformation.
