Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman has urged the government to include expatriates in the voter list.
He made this appeal on Wednesday (December 11) at the inauguration of the Central Majlish-e-Shura, the highest policymaking forum of Jamaat, held at the Al-Falah Auditorium in Moghbazar, Dhaka.
During his speech, Dr Shafiqur Rahman said, “In the last 15 years, a lot of citizens could not vote, with some being excluded from the voter list.”
He also urged authorities to go door-to-door to include those omitted from the voter list during the era of fascism.
He also said, “Those who are conspiring against the country from abroad with the help of others should remember that the people of Bangladesh do not fear anyone's threats or intimidation.”
