For the first time, Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Chief Adviser of Bangladesh's interim government, visited the Secretariat on Wednesday to attend a meeting of the advisory council.
Dr. Yunus arrived at the Secretariat around 11 a.m., where the meeting was scheduled to take place in the advisory council's conference room. He was warmly welcomed by the legal adviser, Asif Nazrul, and Industrial Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan.
Given the significance of the visit, strict security measures were put in place at the Secretariat and its surrounding areas. Access to the Secretariat was heavily restricted, with only authorized vehicles permitted entry.
All visitor access was completely blocked for the day, and other advisors, secretaries, and senior officials were not allowed to enter unless they were part of the designated vehicles.
