Two Bangladeshi workers, who were injured in a chemical factory explosion in Malaysia, have passed away, while undergoing treatment at a hospital.
One of them died on Friday evening at 7 PM and the other one died on Saturday at 3 AM.
The deceased have been identified as Jabbar Ali, son of Razzak Bhuiyan from Munshiganj, and Abu Taher, son of Abul Kashem from the same district.
Another injured, Salam, is still alive but remains in critical condition and is receiving treatment. The bodies of the two deceased are currently at the hospital morgue.
The Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia has contacted the families of the deceased. ASM Zahidur Rahman, secretary of labor, has assured that efforts are being made to retrieve the bodies as soon as possible. He also mentioned that the High Commission is in communication with the company to ensure compensation for the deceased and injured.
