A farmer was killed on Friday in lightning strikes while cutting grass for cattle.
The deceased, Rubel Moral (29) is the son of Sorajul Haque Moral of Joydebpur’s Dighdha village of Gazipur Sadar Upazila.
The deceased’s relatives recovered his body from Chilai Bill near the house on Friday evening.
“Amidst heavy rainfall and thunder, Rubel went to Chilai Bill near the house with a boat to cut grass for cows around 5 pm on Friday,” said Rubel’s family and locals.
As he didn’t return home after a long time of his departure we started searching him, and recovered his body from bill on Friday evening, they added. Blood was oozing from the left year of the deceased. They also believe that Rubel died because of heavy lightning strike sound.
