Chief Adviser to the interim government Professor Dr Muhammad Yunus holds a meeting on Saturday with leaders of non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to discuss the recent flood situation in the country, reports BSS.
Earlier, Chief Adviser's Deputy Press Secretary Apurba Jhangir said that the meeting will be held at State Guest House Jamuna in the capital at 3 pm.
He said many NGOs are distributing relief goods among the flood victims and are carrying rescue operations in the ongoing devastating floods.
In fact, Apurba said, the chief adviser will discuss with them the issues of addressing the flood situation.
About 5 million people in 11 flood-hit districts have been affected by the ongoing unprecedented floods.
