The Eid train journey has begun today (Monday).
Homegoers feel happy as almost all trains left Dhaka without hassle.
Rajshahi bound Dhumketu Express left from Kamalapur railway station in the morning as the first Eid train.
The Eid train journey will continue till April 21.
This year, railway authorities have sold 100 per cent of tickets online for the Eid journey.
Returns tickets are also being sold online.
Meanwhile, this year, none is allowed to enter Kamalapur Railway Station without a ticket.
As a result, the passengers did not have to face the usual suffering at the station. But those who could not buy tickets online, they are going to the counter to get standing tickets before the start of the journey.
The number of law-enforcement agencies has also been increased to ensure the security of the passengers.
Kamalapur railway station manager Masud Sarwar said that 50 thousand people will leave the capital every day on 52 trains during Eid.
