Speakers at a seminar and workshop in the capital on Tuesday mentioned the importance of the need for ensuring the implementation of sustainable development goals (SDGs), environment friendly-policies and advancement of ICT and AI to make a smart Bangladesh, reports BSS.
The speakers opined that as the Bangladesh National Commission for UNESCO (BNCU) under the Ministry of Education organized a 3-day workshop and seminar on the "Forth Industrial Revolution (4IR): What it means, how to respond," in cooperation with Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) at BNCU Conference hall at BANBEIS Bhaban in the capital, a BNCU press release said.
At the inaugural ceremony, Prof Satya Prasad Majumder, Vice-Chancellor of BUET was present as the chief guest while ANM Al Feroz, Additional Secretary, Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education was present as the special guest.
Dr Adel Smeda, expert in Science and Technology sector, ICESCO, Rabat attend the workshop and seminar as guest of honor.
Shohel Imam Khan, Deputy Secretary General of BNCU chaired the occasion.
More than 30 teachers and 45 students from the leading schools of Dhaka city took part in it.
