Awami League and its associate organisations across the country paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait on the occasion of the Homecoming Day of Bangabandhu.
Marking the day, the central Awami League led by Presidium Member Faruk Khan and its associate organisations paid homage to the undisputed leader of the nation by placing wreaths at his mausoleum in Tungipara Tuesday morning.
Later district and upazila Awami League, Jubo League, and Chhatra League also paid tributes to Bangabandhu.
A munajzat was offered there seeking the salvation of Bangabandhu and his martyred family.
Later, the Tungipara upazila Awami League organised a discussion on the occasion of the homecoming day of Bangabandhu at the upazila Awami League office.
The party also paid rich tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by placing wreaths at his portrait in front of Bangabandhu Bhaban in the city's Dhanmondi area.
