Israeli warplanes launched a series of raids on the southern suburbs of Beirut, the eastern Bekaa, and southern Lebanon on Sunday evening, and the raids also approached Beirut International Airport.
The Israeli army began launching strikes on the southern suburbs of Beirut and other areas, saying they were targeting sites belonging to Hezbollah's financial wing in Lebanon, reports Al Jazeera.
According to Al Jazeera correspondent, Israeli warplanes launched at least 12 raids this evening targeting buildings in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and indicated that one of the raids was close to the eastern runway of Rafik Hariri International Airport, which is still operating until now.
The correspondent added that Israeli drones also bombed buildings in the cities of Baalbek and Hermel and the towns of Ali al-Nahri and Badnayel in the Bekaa, east of Lebanon. The raids also included the city of Nabatieh and the towns of Maarakeh, Kafra and Yater in the south.
The Lebanese National News Agency reported that there were injuries as a result of an Israeli airstrike that targeted an ambulance on the Bir al-Salasil road in the town of Khirbet Silm, east of the city of Tyre, in southern Lebanon.
