The Israeli military says there are still eight "points of engagement" in its territory, a day after Hamas stormed into Israel from Gaza Strip.
A spokesman says Israel is "still at war... still completing efforts to take full control of Israeli territory and communities from Hamas," reports BBC.
Israeli air strikes have killed more than 250 civilians in the Gaza Strip.
In Israel, 250 people have also been killed, and dozens of Israelis have been taken hostage - possibly as many as 100.
On Saturday morning, Hamas launched a wave of rocket attacks and fighters stormed into Israel, in the biggest escalation in decades.
For the last 17 years, Hamas has been in control of Gaza Strip.
Throughout it has said that it was preparing for such a battle with Israel.
The group has also been expecting Israel to react the way it has - Israel's Air Force hit back last night.
Israeli warplanes have hit 150 targets since the start of the retaliatory strikes.
This included several compounds where Hamas leaders were believed to be residing.
