Five more dengue patient died and 1,152 others were hospitalised in the last 24 hours till Monday morning in the country.
"During the period, 439 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka city while 713 patients were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital city," said a statement of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
This year, the total number of dengue cases rose to 30,938 while 3,625 dengue patients are still undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.
In 2023, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 321,179 dengue cases.
