Bangladesh Bank (BB) has re-fixed the duration of interbank transactions for March 28-29, ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Despite the government holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr on March 28-29, branches of the scheduled banks in the readymade garments industrial areas will remain open to facilitate payment of garment workers' salary, Eid bonus, allowances and export-import activities.
For March 28, the presentment the cut off time for high value clearing through the Bangladesh Automated Clearing House (BACH) will be 10:45 am while the return cut off time will be 11:30 pm, said a BB circular issued on Monday.
The presentment cut off time for regular value clearing is 11:30 am while the return cut off time is 1:00 pm, it added.
For March 29, the presentment cut off time for high value clearing through the BACH will be 11:30 am while the return cut off time will be 12:30 pm.
The presentment cut off time for regular value clearing is 12:00 am while the return cut off time is 1:00 pm.
However, the existing time of BEFTN will remain unchanged.
Under RTGS, all transactions will be available between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm on March 28 and 10:00 am and 1:00 pm on March 29.
