The 22nd Garment Technology Exhibition Bangladesh (GTB 2025) and the 14th Gap Expo 2024 are currently underway at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka. The event showcases state-of-the-art equipment, accessories, and packaging products used in the readymade garment (RMG) industry. This year’s edition features 500 companies from 25 countries spread across eight halls.
Visitor numbers saw a significant increase on Friday, coinciding with the public holiday. Many attendees used the opportunity to explore the exhibition. Today marks the final day of the event, which has drawn considerable interest from industry professionals.
Hanif Mahmud, an official from a private company in Savar, shared that he was unable to visit earlier due to work commitments. "As it is a holiday, I’ve come to look for machinery suitable for our small factory. I have visited several booths and plan to place an order after further research," he said.
At the exhibition, exhibitors highlighted their offerings to potential buyers. SH Khan Sumon, director of Serapic Associates, stated that his company is showcasing a range of industrial exhaust fans suitable for factories of all sizes. Similarly, Roni Sheikh, sales and marketing manager of Mac Packaging and Accessories, noted that his company is displaying a variety of garment accessories, including PVC poly, paper tape, double-sided tape, barcode stickers, photo cards, and woven labels.
The event has been jointly organized by the Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) and ASK Trade Show and Exhibition Private Limited. Business visitors can attend the exhibition from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm.
For over two decades, GTB has been a central platform for bringing global technologies in the garment sector under one roof. This year’s exhibition provides an opportunity to explore a wide range of ancillary products, including cutting, sewing, finishing, and embroidery machinery, as well as spare parts for the RMG industry. BGAPMEA members are also showcasing their latest innovations in garment accessories and packaging, further underscoring the importance of the event for industry stakeholders.
