BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that reforms and elections are incorporated things and both will process in their own pace.
He made the statement on Tuesday after exchanging Eid greetings with BNP leaders and activists at his residence in Thakurgaon.
Highlighting that BNP made its opinion on reforms after reviewing all the proposals, he said: “Election and reforms is not separate thing. Reforms will continue like reforms. Election will continue like elections.”
Referring to the Chief Adviser’s recently concluded visit to China, he said, “During the Awami League era, China unilaterally maintained relations with one party. However, now they have changed their thoughts and are building relations with all parties.”
The promise that China has made to invest in production and development in Bangladesh is a matter of optimism for the country, he continued.
He said that the election will be held based on the issues on which there will be a consensus of opinion. Whoever is elected will carry out reforms.
