Saudia, Saudi Arabia’s national airline, is deepening its presence in Bangladesh as part of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 initiative. With over 50 years of service in the country, Saudia is enhancing its operations to better serve the growing travel demands and connect Bangladesh with Saudi Arabia and beyond.
Since launching its first flight to Dhaka in 1980, Saudia has become a trusted airline for Bangladeshi passengers, offering direct connections to key Saudi cities such as Jeddah, Riyadh, and Medina. The airline currently operates multiple weekly flights from Dhaka and Chittagong, reinforcing its position as a leading Gulf carrier in Bangladesh.
As part of Saudi Arabia's ambitious target to attract over 3 million Bangladeshi visitors annually by 2030, Saudia is playing a key role in facilitating religious pilgrimages, business travel, and leisure tourism. This goal aligns with Saudi Vision 2030’s broader strategy to develop tourism as a major economic sector.
Saudia is also advancing its digital transformation with the launch of its AI-powered Travel Companion (TC) platform. This service offers personalized solutions for booking hotels, transportation, and activities, aiming to enhance the overall travel experience. In addition, Saudia has revamped its AlFursan loyalty program, making it easier for members to manage rewards and upgrades.
To support its growing operations, Saudia plans to add 105 new aircraft to its fleet, boosting its capacity to meet rising travel demands. With modernized services, an expanded fleet, and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Saudia is dedicated to strengthening its connections between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia, while contributing to the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 tourism goals.
