As part of the ongoing campaign to bring traffic system under control, Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Traffic Division has filed a total of 1533 cases against vehicles, owners and its drivers for violating traffic rules.
This information was confirmed in a press release issued today (March 12) signed by Deputy Commissioner of Police (Media and Public Relations Division) of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police Muhammad Talebur Rahman, reports BSS.
It said the DMP Traffic Division has filed those cases and realized fines on March 11 through regular drive against traffic rule breakers.
The DMP release said that 221 motor vehicles were dumped and 47 vehicles were towed during the campaign against traffic rule violations.
It further said these drives against traffic rule breakers will continue to ensure discipline on Dhaka's streets.
The DMP traffic division has been working to ensure hassle-free movement of city dwellers.
