Renowned architect and Asenz Securities Managing Director Lailun Nahar Ekram passed away.
She was 72.
Lailun Nahar breathed her last at 1:50 am on Wednesday.
She was suffering from critical kidney disease. She left behind her husband, one son, one daughter, daughter-in-law, son-in-law, three grandchildren and a host of family and friends, colleagues and associates to mourn her death.
Lailun Nahar’s first Namaz-e Zanaja will be held at Taqwa Masjid in Dhanmondi after Asar Prayer and the second Namaz-e Zanaja will be held on Thursday after Zohar Prayer at Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Mosque).
She will be buried in her family graveyard, beside her parents in Joydeppur, Gazipur.
Architect Lailun Nahar was in charge of the design of many aesthetic and important buildings in the country, including Dhaka Nagar Bhaban, Open University, LGRD Bhaban in the capital’s Agargaon, and various projects of the Bangladesh Bank.
