Youth and Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud has said that the proposals made by reform commissions will be implemented through discussions with all stakeholders.
“The reform commissions that were formed with the aim of restructuring the state will implement their proposals, as outlined in their full reports, through discussions with all stakeholders. Through this process, the sectors of the state structure that were destroyed under the previous fascist government will be rebuilt. This will move Bangladesh towards liberation from the fascist system,” said the adviser.
He made these remarks on Tuesday at Dhaka University’s central playground while inaugurating the ‘Tarunner Uthshob( Festival of Youth)’ organized by the Ministry of Sports
“The youth has created a foundation for the nation to dream through July Uprising and they have a crucial role to play to make it a reality. Just as they made sacrifices to rescue the country, they will step forward in the same way to rebuild it. They will prove their competence in every sector and make every effort to compete with the modern world.”
He further added, “The interim government has taken on the responsibility of ensuring a proper democratic transition. We seek the cooperation of the entire nation in fulfilling this duty”
The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan was also present at the program. He said, “The worst aspect of partisan, hostile politics is how it pits key institutions against each other.”
He added, “We cannot afford to go backward. We are standing on the foundation of blood. No matter how deep and intricate the obstacles may be, Bangladesh has risen. Enough with the division and disunity.”
