Inspector General of Police (IGP) Baharul Alam has asked all his subordinate colleagues to make the ongoing 'Operation Devil Hunt' successful for the sake of building crime-free societies, reports BSS.
"We have to come forward and work together to attain the cherished goal of ensuring peace and tranquility everywhere in the society," he reminded them.
The IGP was sharing views with high-ranking police officials working in different units in Rajshahi division at the headquartered conference hall of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) on Monday evening as chief guest.
IGP Baharul Alam said the interim government launched the 'Operation Devil Hunt' with an aim to curb unrest and ensure public safety across the country.
Illustrating the scope of the operation, he said the operation would focus on detaining individuals who threaten the nation's stability and will continue until all the devils are brought to justice.
"The 'Operation Devil Hunt' will carry on until every devil is held accountable," he clarified.
With RMP Commissioner Abu Sufiyan in the chair, the meeting was addressed, among others, by Deputy Inspector General of Police of Rajshahi Range Muhammad Shahjahan and Superintendent of Police Farjana Islam.
Reviewing the overall law and order situation in the division the meeting discussed various issues to consolidate the security measures more.
As a whole, IGP Baharul Alam gave a set of directives to prevent the unstable situation through making the 'Operation Devil Hunt'.
