Mild heat wave is sweeping over several districts and it may continue, according to a bulletin of Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) issued here this morning.
"Mild heat wave is sweeping over the districts of Faridpur, Rajshahi, Ishwardi, Khulna, Jashore and Chuadanga and it may continue," the 24-hour-
bulletin forecasted commencing 9am today.
Rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty or squally wind is likely to occur at one or two places over Sylhet division, it said.
Besides, weather may remain dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country.
Day and night temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country, the bulletin added.
Country's maximum temperature on Thursday was recorded 37.0 degrees Celsius jointly at Jashore and Chuadanga districts in Khulna division while today's minimum temperature 17.0 degrees Celsius was recorded at Dimla upazila in Nilphamari district under Rangpur division.
The sun sets at 6:07pm today and rises at 6.08am tomorrow in the capital.
