The national Vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign will be carried out across the country from Saturday, aiming to feed vitamin A plus capsules to all children aged between six and 59 months, reports UNB.
As part of the countrywide campaign, children aged 6-11 months will be provided blue capsules, while children aged 12-59 months will receive red capsules, said a PID handout.
With the slogan of “Feed vitamin A, reduce the risk of child mortality,” the campaign will be carried out at all districts, upazilas and unions throughout the country.
This year, there is a target to provide Vitamin A plus capsule to 2.26 crore children through 1,20,000 EPI Centres across the country.
