Dhaka Railway Station Manager Shahadat Hossain confirmed this information to the media.
He said, “The sale of March 24 tickets for the western region train started at 8 am. 2 million hits were received between 8 am and 8:30 am against 15,773 tickets.”
He claimed that there has been no disruption in buying tickets online so far and no complaints have been received either.
The advance ticket sale for the first day started at 8 am. At this time, tickets for intercity trains in the western region were sold. Most of the advance tickets for this region were sold out within the first 9 minutes of the start of the ticket sale.
Meanwhile, the sale of March 24 tickets for the eastern region train will start at 2 pm. According to the source, tickets for March 24 will be open to sale on Friday, March 25 will be given on March 15, March 26, March 27 on March 18, March 28 on March 19, March 29, and March 30 will be given on March 20.
