Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Adviser Asif Nazrul expressed hope that the verdicts of 3-4 cases related to the July killings likely be available by October this year.
He came up with the observation during a press conference held at his secretariat office in Dhaka on Tuesday afternoon.
The prosecutors have so far filed a total of 16 cases in human rights violations and genocide.
The investigation of four cases out of the 16 will end in the current month and the trial procedures will formally begin on completion of the necessary verification, he said, adding that some top-ranking police officials are also among them.
The cases registered under the Cyber Security Act are being withdrawn, he said, adding that a total of 396 cases were under trial, and 332 cases have been withdrawn so far.
Besides, the government has taken a decision to withdraw 61 more cases lodged under the same act, he added.
