BNP’s senior leader, undivided Dhaka city unit BNP’s former vice-president and former lawmaker S A Khaleque passed away.
Khaleque breathed his last at a city hospital at 3:30 pm on Sunday.
BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed the matter.
He said S A Khaleque was struggling with various diseases for long days. He was admitted to the United Hospital on Wednesday where the former parliamentarian breathed his last.
Khaleque’s first namaz-e-janaza will be held at 12:00 pm on Monday in front of BNP’s Nayapaltan central office and the second namaz-e-janaza will be held at 2:00 pm at Mirpur Bangla College ground.
He will be buried at the family graveyard of Gabtali Mirpur Shahi Mosque, added Shairul Kabir Khan.
Earlier in the day, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir visited ailing S A Khaleque at the hospital.
