Three students were injured when a private car ploughed through a group of seven students near the Dhaka airport’s Third Terminal on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on Sunday.
Mustafizur Rahman, inspector (Investigation) of the Airport Police Station, confirmed the incident.
The identities of the injured students have not yet been confirmed. As a result of the incident, two students had their legs broken, while another one suffered injuries to the leg.
Local residents rushed them to a nearby hospital. They were later taken to the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation.
Upon receiving the information of the accident, police seized the private car and arrested the owner, who was also the driver.
The footage of the incident went viral on social media, showing a white car ploughing through a group of students in front of the third terminal.
