Bangladesh Federal Union of Journalists (BFUJ) President Ruhul Amin Gazi passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday night.
He was 68.
Gazi, who was suffering from various health complications, breathed his last around 9:00 pm while undergoing treatment at BRB Hospitals, confirmed BNP Health Affairs Secretary Rafiqul Islam.
The Daily Sangram chief reporter and journalist leader Ruhul Amin Gazi was admitted to the hospital recently in a critical condition.
In 2022, Gazi was released from jail 17 months after he was arrested in a case filed under the Digital Security Act.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, a son, and a host of relatives and well-wishers to mourn his death.
