Rail services between Dhaka and the southern regions via the Padma Bridge were disrupted due to a protest by auto-rickshaw drivers in the Jurain area of the capital. The disruption, which lasted for nearly four hours, has now ended, and train services have resumed.
Dhaka Railway Station Master Mohammad Anwar Hossain confirmed to the media that the Nakshi kantha Express departed from Dhaka after 3:00 PM.
He also stated that train services on the Dhaka-Padma Bridge route resumed following track clearance.
Three more trains on this route remain at the station and will depart soon, he added.
