Considering the huge demand of commuters, the Metrorail authorities have decided to operate the popular train services on each Friday from this week in between Uttara North to Motijheel routes, reports BSS.
The Metrorail will be run on every Friday, the weekly holiday, from 3.30 pm to 9.40 pm from Uttara North to Motijheel stations, official sources said on Wednesday.
Apart from this, the Metrorail service will continue on the remaining six days in a week as per working day schedule, according to an office order signed by Khandkar Ehteshamul Kabir, company secretary of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) on Wednesday.
It said that the metro train of MRT Line-6 (Mass Rapid Transit) operated and maintained under the DMTCL will run every Friday from Uttara North to Motijheel from 3:30 PM to 9:00 PM and from Motijheel to Uttara North from 3:50 PM to 9:40 PM every Friday from September 20.
