Agitated doctors at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) have announced to start of the operation of the outdoor department (OPD) partially after one day.
Abdul Ahad, a physician of Neuro Surgery Ward of DMCH made the announcement at a press conference on Monday afternoon.
He said operational activities of OPD will start on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm as few of the attackers have been arrested.
In the press meet, he presented two-point demands of the doctors. The demands are –immediate arrest of the rest of the attackers and implementation of the Health Protection Act and health police act.
Earlier on Sunday, doctors declared a complete shutdown at all government and private hospitals protesting the attack on their fellows at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Later, they suspended their complete shutdown at all government and private hospitals protesting till 8:00 pm on Monday following the assurance of the arrest of the attackers.
Interim government's Health Adviser Nurjahan Begum requested doctors to withdraw their shutdown enforced across the country.
