The dwellers of the Bashundhara Residential Area in the capital have held a candle-lit program in memory of the martyrs of the recent one-point movement that led to the downfall of the Sheikh Hasina government.
More than a hundred residents joined the event held beside the Apon Family Mart around 9:00 pm on Tuesday.
“Bashundhara Neighborhood,” a Facebook-based group, organised the program, Daily Sun reports.
The participants wearing red-coloured dresses sang the national anthem along with patriotic songs at the event.
Syeda Shakila Haider, one of the participants, suggested that they should form a fund and provide financial assistance for the treatment of the injured ones following the movement.
Earlier in the day, Bashundhara residents conducted a cleaning operation at the entry gate of the residential area.
