Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) conducted their drive for the second consecutive day to free land from encroachment on Friday, UNB reports.
It also conducted canal-digging operations in various spots.
The city corporation operated the activities from the morning in the Satmasjid housing area of Dhaka's Mohammadpur.
DNCC Chief Property Officer Mohammad Mahe Alam, Executive Magistrate Mahbub Hasan, and Local Councilor Asif Ahmed were present during the drive.
Earlier on Thursday, DNCC demolished 60 illegal structures and recovered 10 bighas of land in the area.
DNCC sources said the evacuation and canal-digging operation will resume tomorrow (Saturday) at 10:30 am.
