One person was killed and another was injured in an explosion at a residential building in capital’s Badda on Thursday morning, reports Daily Sun.

The explosion took place on the ground floor of a three-storey building at No. 4 DIT Road in Badda.

Initially, the explosion is believed to have occurred from a gas cylinder leakage. However, the fire service said that the cause could be confirmed by investigation.

Two units of Baridhara fire station worked on the spot.
