Death row war criminal dies at hospital

A prisoner at Dhaka Central Jail, who had been sentenced to death for crimes against humanity, passed away last night while receiving treatment at a hospital in Dhaka due to respiratory failure, Daily Sun reported.

The deceased is Amzad Hossain Hawladar, 85, of Khulna breathed his last at Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College and Hospital on 1 March.

He was suffering from inguinal hernia, and the Civil Surgeon of the Central Jail sent him to the hospital as his condition worsened.
