Police detained 45 people from various spots of the capital on charges of drug dealing and peddling in separate drives during the last 24 hours.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) confirmed the matter to Bangladesh Pratidin on Thursday (May 11).
Police arrested them from 6:00 am Wednesday to Thursday morning with drugs as part of their regular drive.
A total of 11,458 pieces of yaba, 185 grams of heroin, 40 bottles of phensidyle, and 73.3 kg of hemp were seized from their possessions.
Thirty-two cases were filed with respective police stations in this regard under the narcotic control act, police said.
