Three people were killed being hit by and going under the trains in three separate places in the capital on Friday night, reports UNB.
One of the victims was identified as army sergeant Abdul Jalil, 42, while the two others were a 35-year old man and a 60-year-old woman. The identity of the last two persons is yet to be confirmed.
Sub-Inspector (SI) Ali Akbar of Airport police outpost under Dhaka Kamalapur Railway Station said, sergeant Abdul Jalil, son of Abdul Matin of Burichong Upazila of Cumilla District, died on the spot when he was hit by Titas train as he was trying to cross the railway level crossing in Zoar Sahara area on Friday evening.
Besides, an unidentified man, 35,was killed being hit by a train in Kuril Bishwa Road area.
On the other hand, an unidentified was crushed under the wheels of a train when she was trying to cross a level crossing between Ashkona and Kawla area around 11 pm, SI Ali Akbor added.
He also said that the bodies were sent to Dhaka Medical College hospital morgue for autopsy.
