A Dhaka court on Friday set April 13 for submitting investigation report in a case lodged over robbery of more than Taka 11 crore from a microbus of a private security service providing company, reports BSS.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Ashek Imam passed the order, accepting first information report (FIR) of the case.
Alamgir Hossain, director (operations) of Money Plant Link Private Ltd, filed the case last night with Turag Police Station against 10-12 unnamed persons.
Robbers looted the money from the microbus in Uttara area on the morning of March 9, by barricading the vehicle with another microbus. As the security company men, who were on the first vehicle for taking the money to refill Dutch-Bangla Bank Limited's automated-teller machines (ATMs) in Ashulia EPZ area, got down, the robbers started beating them and took the four trunks full of cash.
Detective branch (DB) of police however, managed to detain seven people allegedly involved in the robbery and recovered three trunks of money, within a couple of hours.
