The Detective Branch (DB) of police have recovered Tk 9 crore hours after Tk 11 crore robbed in Uttara area of the capital on Thursday.
Seven people including two directors of security company concerned have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A team of the DB conducting a lightning operation recovered the looted money of the private Dutch Bangla bank from the car of the investment company Money Plant at Uttara in the capital. The striking team also seized the micro used in the robbery incident.
Dhaka Metropolitan police (DMP) Commissioner Khandkar Golam Farooq said three out of four trunks full of snatched money have been recovered. The drive is underway and details will be announced soon, reports Daily Sun.
Around 4 pm on Thursday, DB recovered the money along with the car.
According to the DB sources, the robbers fled with four boxes of looted money.
The driver was arrested within eight and a half hours of the incident in an operation by the detective team of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police.
Three boxes were recovered from the driver. The robbers fled with a box.
