A fire broke out on the seventh floor of a multistorey building in the city's Gulshan Sunday evening, the fire service said, reports UNB.
Fortunately, no casualties were reported till the filling of this report.
The fire began at 6:59pm in a 12-storey building in Gulshan-2, Anwarul Islam, warehouse inspector of the Fire Service and Civil Defence headquarters' media cell, said.
On information, six firefighting units responded to the blaze, and the responders are trying to tame the flames.
The reasons for the fire mishap and the extent of damage could not be confirmed immediately, Anwarul said.
